Crystal red grade A t/m  S+

We have Hongkong import Crystal Red shrimp for sale; grade A-S/S+. It concerns animal of 1,0-1,5 cm. The shrimp have a great color and pattern. The shrimp are grown on a pH lowering soil with osmosis water.

The aquarium

These shrimp don't require any specific demands on the aquarium. You can keep them already in an aquarium of 15 litres. The aquarium is best to be well planted and contain some pieces of moss. A piece of drift wood is recommended because shrimp can feed on the microorganisms on it.

We strongly recommend to use a pH-lowering soil.

Nutrition

These shrimp eat almost everything they can find. Examples are plant debris, excrements of other aquarium inhabitants, food sticks etc. The shrimp however retain a more beautiful color if they are fed a varied menu. It is best to feed the shrimp primarily plant food. Foodsticks are broadly available in our webshop. If you mix a few of these types of sticks you'll have nice complete food for the shrimp.

Breeding

In case of breeding the shrimp, we strongly recommend to use a pH-lowering soil. The shrimp like a little softer and acidic water. The female bears the black eggs under her tail for about 3 to 4 weeks after which the shrimp will be born alive. The young shrimps will be sexually mature within 3 to 4 months. The shrimp give birth to +-30 young per pregnancy.
